Mission:

Operation Heroes Support hosts approximately 14 outdoor recreational trips each year across multiple states, including MD, DE, WV, and NM. These trips provide 40 Heroes with life-changing opportunities to heal through the outdoors and camaraderie. Each event is a chance for our Heroes to reclaim a sense of purpose and joy, and we aim to expand our reach to assist even more Heroes each year. However, we can't do it without your support.

Our activities offer profound therapeutic benefits, including bolstering physical and mental discipline, enhancing focus, advancing individual liberty, and promoting physical strength and balance. Many in our community have endured traumatic experiences and cope with PTSD and other disabilities. Our organization unites individuals facing similar challenges, fostering personal relationships built on camaraderie through “campfire therapy” and time spent in nature. By the time they leave, they will have formed lasting bonds and gained a renewed sense of hope and resilience through responsible conservation.

How are donations spent?

Donations are used to cover the costs of travel, lodging, meals, and supplies for our heroes. Our goal is to ensure there is no cost to the heroes who have already given so much. 100% of every donation goes directly into the program, as we are entirely run by volunteers.

*Operation Heroes Support offers opportunities for new friendships and memories forged in conservational efforts; camaraderie; and the discussion of similar experiences, whether you find yourself a veteran of the military and/or civilian emergency services. I came home with new friendships; memories that will last a lifetime; jokes yielding laughter that are unique to veteran organizations; and the skills needed to successfully bring game meat to the table.
